Born in Gorizia– Northern Italy, in 1980, and grew up in Florence, Franco Guidi began to take a great interest in photography during his university studies in Berlin.

There he deepened his knowledge of the analogical techniques, photographing some of the day to day social life aspects.

After he moved back to Florence he continued his education and graduated from the International School of Photography and visual arts.

Fascinated by Asian culture, he decided to explore China where he also worked as freelance photographer based in Shanghai.

Now, Franco Guidi, is based in London and specialising in documentary photography. He works to show the living and social condition of people. His work is focused on a social-political analysis and its environmental influences.
